Wilson Combat have announced a new pistol, the SFT9. Like their SFX9 or EDC X9 pistols, the new Wilson Combat SFT9 is based on the 1911 design but has a number of improved parts and new features that should make it more reliable and more adapted to modern shooters’ requirements. This new double stack 9mm handgun offers a unique blend of classic double stack design mixed with modern reliability enhancements that improve handling and shooting performance for shooters of all skill levels.
Wilson Combat SFT9 is a Commander-size pistol chambered in 9x19mm and fed from 15-round magazines. The 4.25″ stainless steel match-grade barrel of this pistol has a fluted (externally) chamber area and flush cut reverse crowned muzzle. The frame is CNC machined out of 7075-T6 aluminum and features the company’s TRAK texture on the front and rear straps. The hammer, thumb safety and magazine release are Wilson Combat Bullet Proof parts. The stainless steel slide comes standard with a black DLC finish and features wide front and rear cocking serrations, Wilson Combat Battlesight rear sight and red fiber optic front sight. The trigger comes standard with a medium-length pad and has a 3.5-4.5 lb pull weight. The overall length of the Wilson Combat SFT9 pistol is 7.85″ and it weighs approximately 29.8oz. Wilson Combat guarantees that the new pistol will print 1.5″ groups at 25 yards.
Wilson Combat SFT9 pistol is listed on the company’s website at a price of $3,095 for the basic version. Optional features include different front sights, finishes and finish combinations, trigger pad lengths and ambi safety. The most expensive version of the SFT9 pistol costs $3,195. SFT9 pistols are shipped with two 15-round magazines.
